Jo Herbots set up his own meat wholesale business in 1997. He started out cutting freshly slaughtered meat in one of the cattle market sheds in Sint-Truiden. The termination of the rental agreement for the cattle market companies meant that Jo Herbots had to go on the search for a new location.
In 2018, Herbots opened a brand-new meat cutting company. Nowadays, on a site of 1.5 hectares, more than 50 employees work daily to produce a quality product. Elpress was able to implement a total package in the area of hygiene. Jo takes quality seriously and is in personal contact with his Dutch beef farmers. You can also see this level of quality in the new premises. Cooling installations, handling systems, all with an eye to quality.
