Senior Engineer Paul Rombout from Elpress talks about the new cleaning systems line
Upgrading the cleaning systems line was the job of Paul Rombout, senior engineer at Elpress. Besides a new modular design, elements such as innovation, sustainability and efficiency were important during the development process. To be able to best use these elements, the new cleaning systems have been developed from scratch to become a completely new product range.
Cleaning systems 2.0
“Our new line of cleaning systems consists of booster sets (LDC-Q), foam and disinfection installations (CFD-Q), a mobile cleaning installation (MLDC-Q), which also contains foam and disinfecting functionalities, and, finally, our new transfer station, the Blocksat”, Paul tells us. “This improved line has much improved functionality alongside a beautiful design. We are very involved in the food industry in which we mainly operate. The starting point is to always use innovation to respond to the latest developments and thus keep ahead of the demands of this particular industry”.
Hygienic cleaning systems for a more efficient cleaning process
Not only the costs of the product but also the costs of the cleaning must be kept as low as possible. “In addition to the purchase price of a cleaning installation, it is important that general costs for cleaning are as low as possible. Efficiency, in addition to the impact on the environment, is the main guiding principle. Frequency-controlled Grundfos pumps use for example no more energy than is actually needed. Proportional doses of chemicals also keep chemical consumption as low as possible. “says Paul.
Innovation and sustainability with Washing Performance Monitor
In a world where sustainability is becoming important, Elpress offers a solution for cleaning in the food sector. An innovative development for foam and disinfection equipment (CFD-Q) is the Washing Performance Monitor. This system provides the ability to monitor important activities such as:
- Water flow
- Chemical consumption
- Cleaning times
- Other operational information
“As a result, chemicals can be handled in a more sustainable way. By monitoring the consumption on the one hand and on the other hand the result, people can work to obtain an optimal cleaning process, which in the long run gets rid of chemical wastage “, the Senior Engineer adds here. “Our goal for the new cleaning plant is to reduce chemical consumption without compromising on hygiene in the workplace.”
